The Pasefika Proud Campaign addresses violence in Pacific families by using clear, consistent messaging around building strong families, preventing and addressing violence designed, delivered and led by Pacific people. Established in 2013, Pasefika Proud mobilises Pacific individuals, families and communities to take responsibility for the issues they are facing, find the solutions and take leadership in implementing them.
Pasefika Proud needed to refresh their website to release an online Pacific service directory to support the national Pacific family violence prevention campaign. The online service directory was developed in response to requests from Pacific communities to develop an accessible directory of Pacific service providers and services available for Pacific peoples.
Several other suppliers were working on this project, including website design, website development and a website project manager.
Pasefika Proud Website Content
Several other suppliers were working on this project, including website design, website development and a website project manager. As part of this project, Oceania Media was approached to develop and upload new content for the website.
Our project included drafting all website text / website copy, sourcing and editing photos and developing graphic elements. We also created a new e-newsletter in line with the approved website design, which is sent out monthly to stakeholders.
Available on the refreshed Pasefika Proud website, the directory includes more than 400 provider listings of services available. Users can find services relevant to them, filtering by location, Pacific ethnic group and service type. There is also a series of infographics on Pacific people in New Zealand, a suite of stories / editorials, downloadable resources and workforce development opportunities for Pacific Family Violence Training.
Oceania Media is currently content managing the Pasefika Proud website.
